| A propagação do pessegueiro no Brasil baseia-se na enxertia de cultivares-copa em porta-enxertos propagados por sementes, e uma alternativa de propagação para esta frutífera poderia ser a estaquia. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o potencial de enraizamento de estacas semilenhosas de cultivares de pessegueiro através da aplicação de 2,6-di-hidroxiacetofonona (2,6-DHAP) antes do tratamento com AIB (ácido indolbutírico). As estacas foram preparadas a partir de ramos coletados das cultivares Delicioso Precoce, Jóia 1 e Okinawa, em dezembro de 2001, para serem tratadas na base com 2,6-DHAP (0 e 300mg L-1), por 4h, em aeração e depois com AIB (200mg L-1 e 2500mg L-1). | When the first group of DNA puffs is active in the salivary gland regions S1 and S3 of Bradysia hygida larvae, there is a large increase in the production and secretion of new salivary proteins demonstrable by [3H]-Leu incorporation. The present study shows that protein separation by SDS-PAGE and detection by fluorography demonstrated that these polypeptides range in molecular mass from about 23 to 100 kDa. Furthermore, these proteins were synthesized mainly in the S1 and S3 salivary gland regions where the DNA puffs C7, C5, C4 and B10 are conspicuous, while in the S2 region protein synthesis was very low. | The inventories on sand flies are usually conducted for a long period in leishmaniasis-endemic regions. Thus, there is little data on the sand fly fauna in areas where no leishmaniasis cases have been reported. Therefore, we conducted an inventory to study the sand fly fauna in the National Forest of Rio Preto (NFRP). We carried out a brief inventory by using four CDC light traps in 2009 during winter and summer. We collected 1,403 sand flies belonging to 11 genera and 22 species. As expected, we did not find in the NFRP region sand flies species that have been reported as vectors of Leishmania.
